2002 Time Trial Championship, Stradbroke, Suffolk


Because of roadworks on the original course, which may not be completed by race day, the organisers have been forced to change the course to be used for the Championships.





The Championship Course


Course Description - note: Finish still to be confirmed
Start in lay by (concreted pull in) approximately 1mile south of Stradbroke on B1118 and approx. 200m past Neaves Lane.
Proceed south on B1118 towards Wilby (0.5m) and Brundish (2m). After approx. 4.5m turn left at T junction on to B1116 signposted Harleston and Laxfield.
Stay on B1116, keeping left on bend where road becomes B1117.
Stay on B1117 towards Eye and Stradbroke.
In Stradbroke turn left on to Wilby Road (B1118) past HQ and past start to complete one lap.
At the end of the last lap finish at second entrance to Tayon Site, approx. 1km before Stradbroke.

3 laps approx. = 34m


Notes to riders

This course is slightly longer than the original, but is not as technically demanding.

The championship coincides with the "Suffolk Churches" charity bike ride, so there may well be a number of other cyclists on the road, particularly near the church in the centre of Stradbroke.
